Professional Experience

 

Nico specializes in the acquisition and disposition of investment properties for corporate, institutional and private equity investors on a local and national level.

As a member of CBRE's National Investment Team – comprised of certain leading investment sales professionals across North America – Nico heads the Ottawa Capital Markets desk and is responsible for deal origination and execution in the National Capital Region.  Since 2011, Nico has completed over $3.0B in sales comprising some of Ottawa's largest and most high profile investment transactions including the sale of Constitution Square (1,060,000 SF, $480M, downtown office) which represented the largest deal in Ottawa's history; Minto Place (945,000 SF, $195M[50%], downtown office complex); and the Minto Low Rise Portfolio (850 suites at $180M).  Having actively worked in both the Toronto and Ottawa market, Nico has developed a strong client base and past successes have been the result of his ability to run an efficient and effective process for each assignment.

Nico is often quoted in the media on the subject of investment real estate and frequently participates in public speaking engagements. Marketing, underwriting, due diligence, and transactions are all part of the services Nico provides.
