Michael Reza is a Project Manager for CBRE’s Southern California Edison account within Global Workplace Solutions. He is an experienced construction and project management professional with a track record of delivering successful construction projects in many different industry sectors including utilities, public facilities, industrial, hospitality, aviation, and education. For the past 17 years, Michael’s experience in the construction industry has included involvement in conceptual design, budgeting, project schedule development, contract documentation, constructability review, multi-prime contracting scope development, LEED documentation, inspection coordination, and change order management. Michael holds a BA from the University of California, Riverside, a Certificate in Construction Management from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
In his role as Project Manager, Michael is responsible for the oversight and successful delivery of all assigned projects.
Prior to joining CBRE, Michael served as an Authorized Edison Representative for the Southern California Edison Capital Improvement Program as a third party consultant. The program has included construction and rehabilitation projects as well as alteration, improvement, and repair of buildings and grounds and the acquisition and installation of equipment. Project management responsibilities include participation in preconstruction activities that include project budgeting, scope development, pre-bid meetings, bidding, and contract award. Construction management responsibilities include distribution of contract drawings and specifications, change management, inspection, invoicing, and close out.
Prior to that, Michael served as a Construction Manager for the Los Angeles Community College Proposition J Bond Program, Mount San Antonio College Measure R Bond Program, Los Angeles Unified School District Proposition BB/Measure K Bond Program, City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering Proposition Q Bond Program and the Department of Public Works for the cities of Lake Forest and Huntington Beach.
