Mike joined CBRE (formerly Trammell Crow Company) beginning March 1998. In September 2007, he transitioned to the Ford Motor Company Account in Dearborn, Michigan with responsibility for Commercial Property Management Services. This includes a 5MSF portfolio with 153 tenants (80% are 3rd party), $58M in revenue, $51M operating and $18M capital expenses. Responsibilities include operational / financial reporting; revenue management increasing cash flow and property values; tenant relations and retention; staff development; CBRE platform implementation; sourcing; energy / sustainability; maintenance and physical asset operation; vendor management; process improvement and cost saving initiatives; health / safety, business continuity and risk management programs; physical / electronic security.
He previously served on CBRE’s Global FM Chapter Steering Team and as CBRE’s Midwest FM Network Chapter Leader. In 2006, Mike was awarded the CBRE Facilities Management Leader of the Year Award. Mike has served on Facilities Management peer review teams for multiple accounts including Bank of America (2005), Comerica (2008), Nissan (2009) and Volkswagen (2013).
Prior to transitioning to the Ford Account, Mike was located in Minnesota where he was responsible for CBRE / TCC's global delivery of FM Services on the UnitedHealth Group Account, consisting of 13MSF. Before joining CBRE / TCC, Mike was a Property / Facilities Manager with Follman Properties ONCOR International in St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri. Responsibilities included an FM Services program startup and implementation for a First Chicago NBD facility, as well as management of commercial real estate for various clients including The Equitable, CUNA Mutual and Century Life of America.
Accreditations and Education
Mike has earned both the Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designations from the Building Owners and Managers Institute International (BOMI International). He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Central Methodist College (now University), which is located in Fayette, Missouri.
