Melissa Rios is the Alliance Director for the E*TRADE Financial account delivering a full scope of corporate real estate services to a portfolio comprised of critical environments, administrative and retail properties.
Prior to her current role, Melissa served as Facilities Management leader on the BB&T Bank account managing approximately 14.5 million square feet of retail bank and corporate office space and led approximately 115 mobile maintenance, administrative and management employees.
Melissa developed and implemented an organizational restructure to advance the account from a vertical FM organization to a more diverse staffing plan focused on areas of FM core competencies. The plan increased the organization's self performance rate by 12% and generated $1.9 million in mobile maintenance self performance savings over 24 months.
Over Melissa’s 4 year tenure on the BB&T account, in addition to the self performance savings, the organization provided the client $6.8 million in savings. Melissa’s strengths lie in continuous improvement, integrating service delivery over multiple lines of business, process development, contract compliance and developing operational consistency. Due to the awarding of additional business and client acquisitions, Melissa also has experience in directing small to moderate size transitions (100-300 retail sites) on to the account.
Prior to her current position, Melissa was a Senior Facility Manager on the Convergys account overseeing a 1.6 million square foot portfolio of critical data center and call center space as well as corporate campus facilities. Melissa led the account Senior Management staff in the account’s Portfolio Optimization (PIQ) initiative identifying $3.6 million in savings opportunities. She also led the portfolio operations committee that focused on maintaining contractual compliance in the areas of strategic sourcing, critical environments, maintenance, health and safety and client accounting.
