Matthew Chmielecki is a Senior Vice President with the New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Group, having joined the firm in early 2005.
Mr. Chmielecki is working with Vice Chairman Andrew Goldberg and Senior Vice President Eric Gelber, focusing his efforts on both Landlord and Tenant representation throughout the Tri-State Region. He has worked on assignments with Empire State Realty Trust, Tishman Speyer Properties, The Helmsley Organization, and Marriott International. Most recently, he completed transactions on behalf of those clients with such noteworthy retailers as Starbucks, AT&T, Sovereign Bank, Duane Reade and Au Bon Pain.
Mr. Chmielecki is currently representing such high profile buildings as The Empire State Building and The Grand Hyatt Hotel. On the Tenant side Mr. Chmielecki is spearheading the New York City rollout for Argo Tea and has a worked closely with Asprey, Tourneau, Godiva, Sovereign Bank and Chase Bank among others.
Mr. Chmielecki received CBRE’s top associate honor as the 2005 Tri-State Region Rookie of the Year. In addition, he received the 2006 Real Estate Board of New York's Retail Deal of the Year Award for his work in the Lease to Gucci at 725 Fifth Avenue, as agent for Donald Trump. He was voted as one of the “30 under 30” rising stars in New York Commercial Real Estate and was recently chosen as a leader of the National Retail Advisory Council.
