Mr. Capeloto was the Top Producer for CBRE's Debt & Structured Finance Pacific Northwest Region in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2010. Mr. Capeloto joined CBRE in 1992, became a Director of CBRE Debt & Structured Finance in 2002 and Senior Vice President in 2008.
Before joining CBRE Debt & Structured Finance, Mr. Capeloto was an Assistant Vice President for five years with U.S. Bancorp Mortgage Company, which at the time had its headquarters in Portland, Oregon. At U.S. Bancorp’s Seattle office, Mr. Capeloto originated major income property construction and permanent loans for the Bank and other institutional lenders. Prior to U.S. Bancorp, he was a Project Engineer at the Howard S. Wright Construction Company for three years. He specialized in high-rise office and low-rise commercial buildings.
Since 1984, Mr. Capeloto’s career focus has been the origination, underwriting, placement and closing of commercial and multifamily real estate loans for properties located throughout the United States. Lenders include life insurance companies, commercial and investment banks, pension funds and conduits.
His mortgage banking career began at Washington Mortgage in Seattle with financing nursing homes and congregate care facilities. At U.S. Bancorp Mortgage and CB Commercial Mortgage Banking he broadened his experience to include financing neighborhood and promotional shopping centers, suburban and downtown office buildings, garden and high-rise apartments, hotels, and industrial buildings.
