Larry Morrissey brings more than 30 years of diverse real estate experience to his position as Lease Administration Finance Manager on the Chubb & Son Account. He is responsible for Chubb’s lease database, rent payments and sublease billings. Larry also prepares the rent budgets for Chubb’s US portfolio and provides Chubb’s Accounting group with rent equalization schedules for all leases and subleases. Larry prepares financial analyses of potential real estate deals to be submitted to Chubb’s Finance group for approval. He regularly deals with Chubb’s landlords and subtenants, as well as with Chubb’s internal Accounting, Finance, Tax, Budget, Treasury and Legal departments, branch and operations managers and internal business units. He is also the liaison between the Chubb account and CBRE’s Portfolio Administration and Lease Audit groups in Memphis, and manages Chubb’s real estate tax appeal program. The lease audit and invoice review programs have saved Chubb $2.83 million, and real estate taxes have been reduced by $1.54 million. Larry also reviews all lease and sublease documents together with Chubb’s lease negotiator and real estate attorney to confirm the accuracy of financial information and to ensure that the documents are practical to administer.
Larry has administered leases and prepared financial analyses as both landlord and tenant, having worked for a real estate developer, a financial institution and service providers. This broad-based background gives him a valuable perspective when representing his clients’ interests.
