Overview

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Kate Murphy serves as the Global Director of Operations for the Bank of New York Mellon account with CBRE’s Global Corporate Services group. In this role, Ms. Murphy focuses on designing and implementing management programs for BNY Mellon’s portfolio of properties. Specifically, she is responsible for all functions related to cost, business and operational risk, including developing operational service delivery solutions, handling facility inspections, overseeing site operations and capital improvement projects, managing outsourcing contracts and ensuring proper training of all field and management staff.

Ms. Murphy has an extensive background in both property management and project management, and has consistently increased operating efficiencies throughout her clients’ portfolios while completing projects ahead of schedule and under budget. Ms. Murphy first joined CBRE in 2004, serving as the Director of the IT Transition and Transformation Team with the Global Corporate Services group. During this time, she held several key roles including project lead on the implementation of an integrated global CRM system and web portal/call center for Microsoft, alliance director for Kaplan and NYSE, transition director for numerous new client transitions and regional lead/program director for the rebranding of Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase.

Previously, Ms. Murphy worked as Vice President of Operations for SL Green Realty, where she was responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the firm’s 16 million-sq.-ft. portfolio. Before that, she served as a Vice President of Asset Management with Morgan Stanley, managing a four million-sq.-ft. portfolio of Class A properties.
