Serving as Senior Furniture Advisor within CBRE’s Project Management (PJM) line of business, Julie Deignan is leading the newest vertical, Furniture Advisory Services. Julie works with local and national clients in developing unique and strategic approaches to purchasing furniture, based on specific needs. Working with each client to collect and analyze historical purchasing patterns, internal processes and project objectives, she is able to provide purchasing recommendations garnering significant process efficiencies and cost savings. In addition, she builds a program specific to each client, creating transparency, accountability and assurance of furniture spends ensuring compliance with discounting and contract terms.
Combining industry best practices, experience and CBRE’s platform, processes and deliverables, ensures cohesive service delivery customized to the needs of each client. Julie collaborates with all project team members, ensuring the selected furniture program supports all project objectives. To date, this service has been able to achieve savings for CBRE and its clients ranging from 5%-22% of the total furniture budget.
Prior to joining CBRE, Julie founded her own company, which created and offered furniture advisory services. CBRE hired Julie as a Consultant to analyze and redevelop its own Global Furniture Standards program. Based on the savings generated for CBRE, Julie began to offer consulting services to CBRE’s clients and in 2014 joined CBRE’s Project Management group.
Julie has been in the commercial furnishings and design industries for over 18 years. She began her career by spending 12 years at furniture dealerships and four years in business development at an interior design firm, providing furniture advisory services to clients for over three years.
