Josiah Gunter joined the CBRE Financial Consulting Group (FCG) in June 2006. As a Director in the FCG Atlanta office, he is primarily responsible for servicing the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Mr. Gunter holds a valued position on the financial consulting team and provides state-of-the-art financial and analytical consulting to institutional, financial, and corporate clients. His experience extends to all facets of commercial real estate including Office, Industrial, Retail, Multi-Housing, and Mixed-Use.
Mr. Gunter is directly involved in the underwriting of commercial properties marketed for sale throughout the United States utilizing expert knowledge of both ARGUS Financial Software and Microsoft Excel. He works closely with real estate brokers throughout the country and advises asset managers and property owners on critical property-level financial issues. He also identifies areas for value creation while utilizing excellent understanding of capital markets and industry underwriting standards and techniques to benefit clients. During his tenure with the group, he has assisted in the financial structuring and underwriting of more than 100 million square feet of office, retail, industrial and multi-family housing product with an aggregate value in excess of $10 billion.
In addition to his experience in capital markets consulting and valuation, Mr. Gunter is responsible for assisting occupier brokers and has run lease versus own, lease buyout, sale-leaseback, occupancy cost and lease comparison analyses for numerous Fortune 500 clients including AT&T, BB&T, CBS Radio, EY, GE, Kimberley-Clark, IBM, and Pepsi-Co while looking at these analyses from a Cash, GAAP/P&L, and After-Tax basis.
