Joe Khouri joined CBRE in April of 2013. His unique experience originated with Carnegie Management and Development Corporation, where he held the position as Director of Leasing for nearly 11 years. Joe was responsible for Carnegie’s retail and land portfolio nationwide, including business and relationship development, negotiations, marketing, financial feasibility analysis, project management, market analysis, strategic planning and budgeting. He has successfully negotiated and closed 250+ transactions throughout a successful career primarily focused in retail, office, land, and shopping center real estate development, asset leasing and sales and his list of transactions continues to grow. Joe was responsible for leasing 3+ million square feet of retail, office, and light industrial space in ten states, marketing properties and negotiating leases. His in-depth experience in government and special use developments has been instrumental in GSA and VA projects across the country.
Joe has been involved in the commercial real estate business since 2002, and during this time he has worked in various sectors of business including property management, tenant relations, construction and estimating, tenant coordination, asset acquisition/disposition and retail leasing and development. His peripheral understanding of real estate development along with market knowledge, integrity, creativity and hard work make him a valuable asset to the CBRE team. He has managed a diverse grouping properties that included mixed use projects, free-standing single tenant retail with a broad make up of neighborhood, community and power shopping centers in primary and secondary markets. Joe has experience in new development activities including pre-leasing, as well as specialty leasing, junior box, big box retail, in various market types, from urban redevelopment to new high profile retail projects. Lease deals have ranged in size from 500 to 124,500 square feet, and lease terms from 1 to 20 years in length, with land sales ranging from .1 to 42 acres.
Joe’s reputation and tireless work ethic have enabled him to establish and maintain strong relationships with regional and national tenants as well as developers and investors.
Joe was also previously licensed with Coldwell Banker Hunter Realty (CBHR), where he was a partner in a boutique brokerage entity within the CBHR president’s headquarters office; Joe and his partners handled all of Coldwell Banker Commercial’s referral business in Northeast Ohio.
