Joseph Wallace serves as the Executive Managing Director for CBRE’s six Bay Area offices. He oversees all lines of business and facilitates the alignment of full service operations in the Bay Area, including Brokerage Services, Valuation and Advisory Services, Facilities Management and Project Management.
Mr. Wallace is responsible for the effective implementation of a Bay Area business development strategy, recruiting and retaining the best talent in the industry and ensuring a financially sound and growing business. With nearly 30 years of commercial real estate experience, he brings leadership skills and a level of knowledge necessary to guide CBRE in delivering exceptional outcomes for new and existing clients.
Mr. Wallace has a long history with CBRE. Previously, he led CBRE’s Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services practice in the Washington-Baltimore region, where he focused on building CBRE’s legacy of service by guiding clients through the largest, most complex and multi-dimensional assignments in the market. Earlier, Mr. Wallace served as Senior Managing Director, co-managing the CBRE Dallas office.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Wallace served as Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the Preferred Group, LLC, a privately held Washington, DC-based office provider, which he built into a national platform. He also spent time as Vice President at CarrAmerica Realty Corporation earlier in his career and was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of HQ Global Workplaces, an international office solutions company with more than 400 locations globally, where he served from 1997 to 2004.
