Joan Meixner brings deep expertise in the financial implications of real estate from 20 years with CBRE’s New York Consulting Group to a new role focused on identifying real estate portfolio cost savings and value creation opportunities for corporate occupiers. Ms. Meixner is leading an initiative that incorporates and adapts best practices from CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services for Global Workplace Solutions clients.
During her tenure at CBRE, she has led numerous strategic studies for clients in addition to being involved in over eight million square feet of leasing and purchase transactions for major corporate and institutional clients and over seven million square feet of sales dispositions and agency leasing. These projects range from large headquarters assignments to typical office leases.
Ms. Meixner excels at bringing analytical capabilities to complex assignments and she has mastered every phase and aspect of a real estate transaction, having worked on unique and multi-faceted assignments that require significant planning and involve many moving parts.
Joan’s experience spans the transaction spectrum—new leasing, expansions, renewals, restructuring and sales—often resulting in unique and multi-faceted assignments that require significant planning, and involve many moving parts and players. Working with corporate, nonprofit and owner clients provides Joan a well-rounded perspective in executing transactions. Joan understands how chemistry, culture and capabilities factor into the equation—and how to calibrate her approach to achieve success.
Prior to working in real estate, Ms. Meixner worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Deloitte and PwC.
