Jay Kurian is a Project Manager for CBRE’s Southern California Edison account within Global Workplace Solutions. Jay is an educated and experienced professional with more than 20 years of professional and construction management experience on high-profile projects. He holds a BS degree in Construction Management.
In his role as Project Manager, Jay is responsible for the oversight and successful delivery of all assigned projects.
Jay began his construction career with obtaining his degree in Construction Management Technology from California State University Northridge. He has worked for industry leaders such as Kiewit, Clark Construction, and Swinerton. He has worked in a variety of roles and has had diverse experience from field engineering work to project controls.
Some of Jay’s notable accomplishments have been on projects such as the I-405 freeway expansion in Los Angeles, Tom Bradley International Terminal Renovation at LAX, Terminal 6 Delta Facilities renovation, and Westfield retail and capital improvements for Terminal 5 of LAX. On the I-405 Project, which was the largest civil job in the country at that time, Jay had multiple responsibilities from Field Engineering work and managing self-performed work crews to working in Project Controls managing $400 Million of labor weekly. He has worked as a Senior Project Engineer managing multiple trades and stages of construction on the Tom Bradley International Terminal as well as overseeing change management for Terminal 6 in LAX. On Delta’s customer facilities, he oversaw commercial construction including the bid process, build out, commissioning, and closeout. On Westfield’s re-build of the interior of Terminal 5, Jay acted as the owner’s Project Manager on-site, managing all aspects of the build.
