As CBRE Inc.’s Senior Managing Director of Project Management for Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey, Jim Carter is responsible for managing and directing all project management services. In 2012, Jim’s team managed over $350M in construction focusing on corporate fit-up, industrial big box, and build- to-suit solutions.
Prior to CBRE, Jim was a Principal Architect at RMJM-Hillier Architecture, the 4th largest international architecture and engineering firm in the world. There, he specialized in strategic workplace solutions, interior fitup and construction management services. Over Mr. Carter’s 25 years’ of professional practice, he has managed approximately 25 million square feet of development for Fortune 500 companies. His solutions allow his clients to meet their business, financial, spatial and timing goals.
Jim’s most recent assignment includes the completion of Janney Montgomery Scott’s new headquarters at Three Logan Tower in center city Philadelphia. This new project comprised 140,000 rsf and encompassed a 200 person trading floor, training and conference center, executive offices and a new workplace strategy. The project was delivered on time and the budget is confidential. Other current CBRE projects include 150,000sf headquarters for Drinker and 180,000 sf headquarters for Ballard Spahr’s law firm.
