Gregg Carlin joined the CBRE Long Island office in January 2007 to be part of the New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Team and lead a group of talented brokers focusing exclusively on retail clients and developing new business opportunities within the region. Prior to joining CBRE Gregg spent 13 years with Ripco Real Estate Corp., where he worked with various retailers on their development strategy, site selection and lease negotiations.
A 27-year veteran of the retail brokerage business, Mr. Carlin is widely considered one of Long Island’s most knowledgeable real estate professionals with an unsurpassed reputation for tenant representation, project leasing and investment sales. Mr. Carlin, over the years has orchestrated extensive market penetrations for many national retailers, most notably Starbucks Coffee, Regis Corporation, Bank of America, Famous Footwear, GNC, Work N’ Gear, Kinko’s, Mavis Discount Tire and 7 Eleven.
During his career, Mr. Carlin has assembled development sites for many leading retailers. Among them are Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, 7 Eleven and Mavis Tire.
He currently represents Bank of America, TopGolf, Floor & Decor, USPS, Ideal Image and Good Year Tire. He provides strategic insight for property analysis and acquisitions as well as disposition and sales of existing locations.
Mr. Carlin also heads up the Tri State Retail team’s representation of 7 Eleven, assisting them on all levels of their highly aggressive expansion program.
Throughout his career, Mr. Carlin has been active in investment sales of shopping centers, net leased buildings, and development properties throughout the Tri-State market. During his career he sold over $700 million dollars of commercial real estate.
