Elvin Rey Magsino is a Senior Business Analyst for CBRE’s Asset Services | Client Care & Development department. He joined CBRE in May 2014 and specializes in supporting many of the initiatives to develop and maintain the Client Care & Development Program. One of his main duties is to provide core analysis of business data, news, and events related to our top clients. In addition, he is responsible for developing processes and information tools to better understand and serve our clients. These tools include building custom apps in different software solutions such as Microsoft SharePoint, the Microsoft Office Suite, Caspio, Salesforce, Campaign Logic, and plenty others.
Prior to joining CBRE, Elvin Rey was a freelance IT consultant, who had worked for various companies and industries – most recently for the medical industry at Providence Health and Services. During this period, he also undertook various engineering projects. In particular, Elvin Rey and his team facilitated and streamlined California State University, Los Angeles’ curriculum review process through the creation of a custom Microsoft SharePoint web-based system, which is currently being implemented in some departments within the university. He also has a passion and aptitude for teaching and education – having taught mathematics and literacy for grades K-5 at various LAUSD public schools through charitable non-profit organizations like STAR Education, Inc. He is a firm supporter of the No Child Left Behind Act and has participated in numerous tutoring programs which support this cause. In his free time, he is also a freelance mathematics and engineering tutor for students ranging from elementary through college.
Elvin Rey received his B.A in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Law at the University of California, Irvine in 2011 and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the California State University, Los Angeles in 2013.
Elvin Rey is a valuable asset to the team, contributing expertise in technology and engineering. He is proficient with mathematical analyses, computer systems, and engineering practices, as well as technical skills like computer programming, website development, relational databases, and UML design and modeling. He has also made an impression with his talent for organization and analysis, on top of a working style that incorporates teamwork, responsibility, and communication.
Ultimately, Elvin Rey has aspirations to become a project manager – he is currently studying for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam, with the intended goal of obtaining his Project Management Professional (PMP) credential shortly after.
