Professional Experience

Ed Szczypinski is a Vice President for the North Central Region working within the Columbus office of CBRE.  He joined the Valuation & Advisory Services group in 2010.  His primary geographical area is the State of Ohio, where he has worked on assignments in every major metropolitan statistical area.  Appraisals and other valuation services have also been completed in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.  

Mr. Szczypinski’s experience encompasses a wide range of property types including office, retail, mixed use, multi-family, industrial, vacant land, and special purpose properties.  Since 2016, Ed has concentrated on the valuation of office, healthcare/medical office, retail, and mixed use properties.  Ed is a member of CBRE’s national office valuation group and national medical office valuation group.

Valuation assignments have been completed at all phases of development and for all major forms of property rights.  Mr. Szczypinski has experience providing appraisals of market value, market rent studies, market feasibility analyses, fair market rental value for Stark Law compliance purposes, fair value subject to FASB Accounting Standards Codification, fair value subject to IPA Guidelines, highest & best use analyses, valuations of investment value, expert witness testimony, and consultations for clients that include financial institutions, insurance companies, healthcare systems, real estate investment trusts (REITs), asset management companies, corporations, developers, attorneys, and individual property owners.
