Ed Fanselow joined CBRE as the Director of Marketing & Communications for the firm’s Greater Chicago Region in 2015. A creative, strategic and results-oriented marketing and communications leader, Ed infuses a passion for storytelling into all aspects of his role, which includes overseeing content marketing, business development, digital and social media, and public relations.
As the regional marketing leader, Ed oversees a team of 24 marketing and communications professionals in two Chicago offices—Downtown, and Oak Brook—as well as offices in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Indianapolis and Cincinnati.
Ed joined CBRE from JLL where he was Vice President of Marketing and Communications in the Midwest Region, responsible for co-leading a comprehensive integrated marketing program designed to drive business outcomes. In this role, he co-led marketing and led communications for six Midwest markets including Chicago, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee and Des Moines.
Prior to JLL, Ed worked for several marketing, PR and brand-development agencies in Chicago where he advised a variety of clients in commercial real estate and numerous other industries.
Ed also brings more than six years of experience as an award-winning journalist, having worked as a staff writer for the Chicago Tribune, the Sun-Times News Group and the Daily Herald.
He is a graduate of Northwestern University where he earned a B.S. degree in Journalism.
