Douglas Saxton is a Sr. Chief Operating Engineer within CBRE’s Global Corporate Services group in support of the Global Technology Company account. He is responsible for performing duties as the engineering manager in support of the roving engineering staff that supports the Client sites west of the Mississippi River. Douglas also implemented a matrix for managing and tracking all critical work along with client approvals. He has managed infrastructure upgrade projects for the account in excess of US $1M a year, and he is accountable for client satisfaction by having a thorough understanding of the critical sites that he and his team support.
Prior to becoming the Sr. Chief Operating Engineer with CBRE, Douglas was a legacy Trammell Crow employee working as a Building Operations Manager on the EDS account. A very big advantage of starting out at the operating engineer level and growing into a managerial position is that he fully understands all the aspects of day to day maintenance of critical facilities.
Prior to working for Trammell Crow, Douglas was a Chief Operating Engineer in the commercial real estate industry for ten years.
Douglas also has prior experience as a Journeyman Plumber and HVAC technician for 15 years, working on all aspects of commercial repair and replacements with a broad depth of facility repair work.
