Derrick Hong currently serves as an Operations Administrator for the Asset Services Business Operations team. He supports Jim Bilger and the Global Regional Directors of Operations in the EMEA, LatAm, and APAC markets with business planning and budgeting, program development and presentations. Locally, he also supports the Asset Services Learning and Development team with document management and maintenance of the Asset Services Global Standards, along with CBRE Navigator publishing and interface.
Prior to this role, Derrick’s background comes from the Capital Markets division, having worked with the Los Angeles Private Capital Group (PCG) in the investment sales of office, medical, and industrial properties throughout the greater Los Angeles basin, and the Net Lease Property Group (NLPG) in the asset disposition of single-tenant, net-leased retail, office and industrial properties throughout the United States. As a coordinator for both teams, Mr. Hong was directly responsible for escrows and property listings as well as the creation of team marketing materials, surveys, presentations, events, client relations and database management and enhancement. He also handled client communication services and provided real world market data.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Hong assisted in the acquisition and disposition of multi-family housing in the West Los Angeles market at Marcus & Millichap. In 2012, Mr. Hong completed his Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Management and Planning with an emphasis in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. At USC, he was involved with the Trojan Real Estate Association.
