David Florio is PMO Director for a financial services account for CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). In this role, he oversees the teams that deliver projects and programs, provides account governance and ensures that service lines perform to client expectations. David is part of the account management team that is responsible for more than 700 dedicated CBRE staff members who manage facilities totaling 43 million square feet and projects totaling 27 million square feet.
David moved to his current role following his success as Senior Managing Director for the New York Tri-State GWS team, where he oversaw transaction management within the GWS offering. As part of this role, he also assisted in coordinating transaction management activities with CBRE’s Project Management, Facilities Management and Strategic Consulting lines of business.
Appreciated for the importance he places on mentorship and his strong team-minded spirit, David has long played a role in nurturing young CBRE professionals. As part of the Midtown Brokerage Management Team, he was responsible for a myriad of duties associated with managing early-career sales professionals. He also previously ran CBRE’s prestigious Wheel Program, a 14-month rotational apprenticeship designed to give selected young professionals a well-rounded foundation in commercial real estate.
David’s 30+ years of commercial real estate experience includes office and retail leasing, land acquisition and property management activities. He joined Insignia/ESG in 2001, having previously served as Senior Deputy Director of Real Estate for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
