Professional Experience

 

Daniel Kaplan is a First Vice President with CBRE’s Investment Properties group in the firm’s Midtown Manhattan office. With more than 11 years of experience, Mr. Kaplan specializes in middle-market investment properties including retail, office, residential, industrial and development projects. He has completed more than $2 billion in sales, financing, joint venture, leasehold and development transactions in Manhattan & New York’s outer boroughs. He is responsible for preparing financial modeling and offering memorandums; coordinating due diligence and property tours; and providing comprehensive market research, including demographic surveys, market comparables and local market trends. Mr. Kaplan’s extensive client list ranges from Fortune 500 companies and prominent real estate investment firms, to non-profit organizations and family trusts and estates.

Before joining his current team, Mr. Kaplan was a member of CBRE’s highly competitive 14-month rotational Wheel Program. While in the program, Mr. Kaplan contributed to some of New York City’s most significant transactions including the General Motors Building, which achieved a record-high price among commercial property sales. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Kaplan interned with Cushman & Wakefield assisting a tenant representation team in the Midtown office; as well as Summit Commercial Real Estate in Washington D.C.
