Dan Benn is the Director of Project Management for CBRE’s Southern California Edison account within Global Workplace Solutions. Dan has over 13 years of PJM, FM and account management experience and is an expert in optimizing project delivery solutions and building high-performing teams. Dan has successfully delivered projects for several large corporate clients including the Whirlpool Corporation and Proctor & Gamble. Dan holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BSE in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
In his role as Director of PJM, Dan is responsible for the oversight and the successful delivery of the Project Management operations throughout SCE’s portfolio of 6 msf.
Prior to joining CBRE, Dan served as Account Manager with Cushman & Wakefield. In this role, Dan managed over 130 sites and 40 employees in CA, HI, NM, and TX for the Automobile Club of Southern California. There he led a review of project management policies and procedures, including an evaluation of the decision criteria for the project being led by the client team vs. C&W with an aim to improve the overall delivery of all projects for the client. Dan’s global experience and passion for process improvement help him to advise clients seeking to optimize their project delivery for their internal stakeholders.
Prior to that, Dan spent 11.5 years with Jones Lang LaSalle where most recently he spent 5.5 years as a Regional Facilities Manager as part of a management team launching JLL’s service and project delivery to Whirlpool’s US Supply Chain network. As the West Region Leader, he planned and managed capital and operating budgets in excess of $8 million annually, including a large initiative of sustainability projects that greatly reduced the client’s operating costs. Dan initially joined JLL in 2003 as a Project Manager and went on to serve multiple accounts both domestically and internationally, including a 2.5 year assignment in Switzerland and Italy.
