As US Director of Research Operations, Chris Boehm is responsible for leading all aspects of CBRE’s US Research Operations throughout all regions and markets.
Chris has extensive experience across the functional areas of the commercial real estate business with an emphasis on market research and finance. Areas of responsibility throughout his career have encompassed market research, analysis, and forecasting, property and portfolio financial analysis, acquisitions and property due diligence, development project management, debt and equity partner negotiations, joint venture structuring, investment performance analysis, attribution analysis, tenant credit assessment, property and fund accounting, lender and partner relations, compliance, information technology, and investor/client communications.
Chris has performed underwriting of all property types and markets across the U.S. and has worked in a wide variety of different settings in the industry, including at a large public REIT, within the structured finance group at a major real estate services firm, at a family investment office, for one of the largest multifamily managers and owners in the US, and for a private equity real estate investment advisor. Prior to joining CBRE Chris was Director of Research and Analysis and the Chief Compliance Officer for an investment advisor with $2.5 billion of assets under management throughout the US. Chris was responsible for the development of the firm’s financial and market analysis platforms, investment strategy, and managed a team of analysts performing market analysis and forecasting, portfolio analysis, property financial analysis, and due diligence. He also played an important role in communicating strategy and performance to investors, lenders, and other key firm constituencies, and ensured the firm’s compliance with SEC and DOL regulations and fiduciary obligations as a registered investment advisor.
