Currently, Chris Hellerman is the Energy Manager for a global high technology company’s North American portfolio. In this role, Chris is responsible for the team that manages the energy program for over 200 buildings, totaling over 24 million SF of leased and owned space. His day-to-day responsibilities include tracking utility data and managing usage trends, reviewing regulated tariffs for utility accounts, partnering with building operators to confirm compliance for building systems and working closely with the Energy Management team to identify and recommend new energy savings technologies.
Chris Hellerman previously served as Energy Manager for the Texas real estate portfolio of one the largest telecom companies in North America consisting of 3,000 sites and 36 million SF of office, data center and other critical facility space. As Energy Manager, Chris was responsible for the development, implementation and tracking of energy projects as well as the creation of tools to better manage the oversight of all energy projects and utility data management.
Chris has worked within the facilities and energy management environment for ten years. Within this time, he has worked with a start up controls and energy management systems company and served as Energy Manager for two national retailers.
