Cassie Durand joined the CBRE New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Group in 2011. Ms. Durand works alongside Vice Chairman David LaPierre and Senior Vice President Stephen Sjurset specializing in both landlord and national tenant representation.
Ms. Durand’s national tenant representation experience includes the U.S. mall and high street roll outs for Oakley, L.K. Bennett, H&M & their sister brands (COS, & Other Stories). Additionally, she completed the first New York deals for Kit & Ace, one of the fastest growing brands globally, and Lao Feng Xiang, the largest jeweler in China. She has also helped develop entrance and growth strategies for international retailers such as HLA International, Cross Company, United Arrows and Linda Farrow.
Ms. Durand also has extensive experience representing prominent landlords throughout New York, such as Rockpoint Group, Highgate Holdings, Beacon Capital Partners, Callahan Capital, Blackstone, J.P. Morgan and Hearst Corporation.
In the three years preceding her current role, Ms. Durand was a public relations executive at Porter Novelli followed by Weber Shandwick, two of the top global public relations firms. Her branding and marketing expertise is a differentiator in the world of real estate, which has helped her understand the business from the retailer’s perspective and gives her a unique edge in making successful connections between landlords and retailers.
Ms. Durand graduated from Wake Forest University in May of 2008 where she studied Economics and Communications. She received several honors, including admittance into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society and Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society of the National Communication Association and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
