Casey Schaefer is a Senior Vice President and co-leads the National Student Housing team. Since joining CBRE in 2015, Mr. Schaefer has transacted more than $8 billion in student housing assets.
After earning his Master of Real Estate degree from Texas A&M University, Mr.Schaefer joined the National Multi Housing Group at Marcus & Millichap, focusing on investment sales serving private clients in Houston, Texas.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Schaefer directed acquisition and disposition efforts for Asset Plus Realty Corporation (APRC), the investment arm of Asset Plus Companies (now Asset Living), the largest third party operator of student housing properties in the nation. During his time at APRC, Mr. Schaefer focused on multifamily and student housing acquisitions, new developments and overseeing asset management for APRC’s portfolio.
