Professional Experience

Brent Howell is a Senior Vice President of CBRE.  His past positions have included National Director for Retail Services, Director of National Accounts and Marketing, Western Division Marketing Director for Retail Services, Retail Marketing Director for Southern California, and Company Board of Directors’ Member from 1989-1993.

His real estate brokerage experience: over 35 year career with CBRE - both as the National Director for Retail, and as a sales professional specializing in the leasing of regional shopping center properties, shopping center development, investment sales and retail tenant representation. He has been actively involved in the co-ordination of the planning, leasing and sale of numerous regional, power and specialty shopping centers throughout the United States.  His expertise is also focused with big box and specialty tenants and the addition of these uses in existing, rehabbed and newly planned retail developments.​​​​

Significant Assignments

  

As a sales professional, he was directly responsible for much of the layout, design, tenant mix and leasing and sale of 10 regional shopping centers in the Southern California metropolitan area.  He acted as team captain within CBRE co-ordinating the negotiations between major department stores, major anchor tenants, and the owner/developer of the major retail projects listed below.  As an investment sales professional, he handled the sale of over 30 neighborhood, community and/or regional shopping centers, as well as specialized in key retail tenant representation of numerous regional and national chain retailers.  Today his expertise is centered around three areas: investment sales of major shopping centers, the development of major power centers and lifestyle urban retail projects, and repositioning regional malls. Howell also acts as an advisor/consultant to major investors of shopping center portfolios.
