    CBRE NAMED TO LEASE 1000 F Street

    CBRE, the world’s largest real estate services firm, has been retained as exclusive leasing agent by Douglas Development for 1000 F Street, NW, a new trophy office and retail project in the heart of Washington, DC’s thriving Penn Quarter neighborhood.  The 11-story, 93,000 square-foot building will incorporate a two-story historic structure and will include 10 floors of office and  7,000 square feet of ground floor retail.  Construction is expected to begin in late 2013.

    CBRE ARRANGES SALE OF LANDOVER DISTRIBUTION FACILITY
    CBRE arranged the sale of a prime distribution facility located in the Ardmore Industrial Park at 7721 Polk Street in Landover, MD.  The currently vacant asset was acquired from McKesson Corporation for $4.15 million by Endurance Real Estate Group.

The Washington, DC office of CBRE is one of the country's most active market areas.  More than 75 professionals provide a complete spectrum of commercial real estate brokerage services including owner and tenant leasing, acquisition and sales, marketing and consulting to owners, investors and occupiers of all property types.              

The Washington, DC competitive office market is comprised of 121.4 million square feet in almost 700 properties in nine submarkets throughout the District of Columbia.  The core downtown markets of the CBD and East End hold the majority of office product with 38.2 million square feet and 42.0 million square feet, respectively.  Capitol Hill consists of 4.8 million square feet, while Southwest has over 12.0 million square feet.  Uptown and Georgetown, the most western and northern submarkets, have a combined 9.8 million square feet. Since 2005, two new submarkets, NOMA and Capitol Riverfront, were formed, and they currently are comprised of 11.0 million square feet.  In total, the District of Columbia accounts for over 32% of the Washington, DC Metro Region’s competitive office real estate market.    undefined
