David Osborne is Director of Project Management for CBRE in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, representing CBRE’s Data Center Solutions Group as Practice Leader and Senior Advisor. He serves as a technical consultant and resource to project teams engaged in critical facilities projects, including data centers, call centers, network operations centers, and other mission critical sites.
Mr. Osborne’s recent experience includes leading the successful completion of the new Environmental Security Computing Center, a 54,000 square foot climate and weather supercomputer facility for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Fairmont, West Virginia. Preceding this assignment, he led the CBRE Capital Project Management team on the Cisco Systems account for US and Canada field offices. In this capacity, he advised Cisco on real estate strategy and construction project delivery, served as Global Subject Matter Expert for data center and technical infrastructure projects in Cisco's worldwide real estate portfolio, developed Cisco’s Global Data Center Guidelines and Standards, and led the administration of Cisco's Global Data Center Program.
Prior to joining CBRE in 2006, Mr. Osborne’s experience included over four years of independent consulting and advisory services for multiple clients, managing large-scale tenant improvement construction projects, and serving as an advisor for commercial real estate and facilities strategies, long-range planning, and transaction management for acquisition and disposition of real estate.
Previous positions included Facilities Manager for a prominent law firm in San Francisco, Construction Manager for the largest property developer in Northern California, and Project Manager for a commercial general contractor in San Francisco.
