PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dave Douglas centers his attention upon the industrial markets of South King, Thurston and Lewis Counties.  Since 1979, he has developed an expertise in marketing industrial and business parks, freestanding industrial property, tenant representation, land acquisition, and disposition of surplus properties.  A significant portion of his practice involves coordination of “build to suit” projects for manufacturing and distribution companies.  He has also focused upon redevelopment and conversion of older industrial properties.

Dave is an “Active Industrial” designee of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR); currently he is an Education Committee Vice Chair directing the Specialty Practice Boards (SPB). He has served SIOR as Regional Vice President, as a member of the Board of Directors, chair of Membership Standards Committee, and has served on several other committees and task forces. Douglas was Washington State Chapter President in 1995. Douglas is active in the local chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and is a designee of the Commercial, Investment Real Estate Institute (CCIM).

Dave’s community involvement includes the board service for  Tacoma – Pierce County Chamber of Commerce (Executive Committee as Vice Chair, Business & Trade Development), Lakewood Gardens Board of Directors, Tacoma Art Museum (Past President, Activities Council, Co-chair Community Development Campaign), Tacoma Area Coalition of Individuals with Disabilities, St. Patrick’s Parish Pastoral Council, Pacific Harbor’s Council, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts (District Commissioner, Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and Den Leader), and coached youth league basketball and baseball.
