Owen has been recognized as one of the most successful and trusted real estate advisors in the Puget Sound. He has assisted his clients with hundreds of office/HQ relocations, lease renewals, subleases and multi-market leasing requirements both domestically and internationally. In addition, he supports each transaction with market leading research and both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Owen has assisted Fortune 500 companies such as Safeco Insurance and Liberty Mutual with negotiating both large real estate transactions and developing strategic real estate plans to achieve their business objectives and strengthen their profitability. While representing Safeco Insurance, Owen was responsible for executing and managing transactions for their 2.5MM SF international portfolio. Owen has also played an integral role in some of the largest most complex commercial transactions in downtown Seattle. In 2009, Owen was a key member of the brokerage team from CBRE that represented Perkins-Coie on their 265,000 SF office renewal.
In addition to Owen’s expertise in corporate real estate services, he is an expert in the Seattle area biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry and a member of CBRE’s Life Sciences Group [more info]. His knowledge of this specialized industry allows him to understand the challenges life science companies face. As a result, Owen has built a reputation as one of the leading representatives of life science companies in the Northwest. Owen’s life science transactions have included laboratory, R&D, and medical manufacturing space. Some of his clients include BioMed Realty Trust, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and ProFibrix.
