Lloyd Allen, J.D. Joins CBRE as Salt Lake City Sales Director and Principal Broker

Salt Lake City—February 28, 2017—CBRE announced today that Lloyd Allen, J.D. has joined the Salt Lake City office as its sales director and principal broker. Lloyd joins a team of global sales leaders throughout the organization whose primary focus is to position sales professionals within local markets while maintaining a focus on business development.

As sales director, Lloyd will be responsible for leading and implementing the sales management operation model, overseeing business development processes and strategies, and identifying and assigning qualified pursuit teams. He will partner with local, regional and national leaders to attract, develop and retain a highly effective salesforce in an effort to achieve organic growth and gain market share. Lloyd will also take on Utah principal broker responsibilities and the accompanying Division of Real Estate functions. First and foremost, Lloyd will be the leader of—and advocate for—the sales professionals in the Salt Lake City office.

Mark Bouchard, senior managing director and co-leader of the Southwest Region of CBRE remarked, “In this role, Lloyd will work side-by-side with our sales agents in an effort to drive business and value for the clients we serve. He will focus on developing our professionals while also ensuring that each client is paired with the agent whose expertise is best suited to aid them in achieving their real estate goals.”

After completing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Utah, Lloyd obtained a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley. He has spent the majority of his professional experience in law where he has served as general and corporate counsel, worked in private practice and taught law as an adjunct professor. In 2006 Lloyd transitioned to commercial real estate and took a position as corporate counsel and senior vice president of brokerage services for Newmark Grubb Acres. In addition to overseeing litigation and managing the state regulatory relationship as principal broker, he also managed the brokerage relationship, overseeing more than 80 agents located throughout the state of Utah.

“Lloyd’s wealth of experience will be a great asset as we continue to position CBRE as the premiere real estate services firm in the state of Utah,” added Bouchard. “We are pleased to welcome him to the Salt Lake office and CBRE, and look forward to partnering with him in building a more strategic and successful business.”
