Bruce Surry is an Executive Vice President at CBRE. Mr. Surry has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience, with a primary focus on Lower Manhattan and Midtown South. His responsibilities have included local, national and international tenant representation, leasing and marketing agency representation and investment sales experience.
Mr. Surry has been the top CBRE Downtown broker for thirteen of the last fourteen years. His numerous accolades include the 2010 William H. McCarthy award, CBRE’s highest national brokerage honor. He also holds the distinction of being Downtown’s Broker of the Year for five consecutive years. Mr. Surry’s 2010 accomplishments once again secured him a position within the Coldwell Colbert Circle, which represents the top 3% of producers globally.
Active in the Manhattan market for more than 30 years, Mr. Surry has played an important role in its post-9/11 rebirth through his work on several notable projects. Primary among them has been his leadership of the team involved in the leasing of 600,000 square feet at 3 World Financial Center on behalf of Brookfield Properties, Inc. as well as the acquisition of a 165,000-square-foot commercial condominium by the ESDC at 125 Maiden Lane. He has also managed CBRE’s Downtown office, working closely with tenants, landlords, developers and state and local officials.
Mr. Surry resides in Manhattan and is an active participant in the New York City Mentoring Program, Literacy Volunteers, and is a sponsor of the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown, Long Island.
