Whitley Collins rejoined CBRE in 2011 and currently heads the company’s Occupier Services practice within Americas Brokerage.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Whitley previously spent 18 years with CBRE in Los Angeles from 1987 to 2005 where he built his reputation negotiating large, complex lease transactions on behalf of office tenants. During this time, Whitley built an 18-person team that pioneered CBRE’s tenant representation practice in Southern California and included specialists from diverse backgrounds in law, corporate real estate, capital markets and construction management.
While at CBRE, Whitley earned a place in the Company’s “Colbert Coldwell Circle” (representing the top 3% of producers nationwide) six times. In 2003, he received CBRE’s most prestigious national honor, the McCarthy Award, which recognizes commitment to integrity, teamwork, mentoring, loyalty and dedication to clients. In 2002, 2003 and 2004 he received the Benjamin Arthur Banker Educational Excellence award for his dedication and commitment to CBRE’s national educational program.
From 2005 to 2008, Whitley was the President of the Los Angeles Region for The Staubach Company and from 2008-2011, he was the LA Region Brokerage leader for Jones Lang LaSalle (following its acquisition of The Staubach Company).
