Marta Person Villa joined CBRE’s Saddle Brook office in 2011 as Vice President within the firm’s Tri-State Retail Services Group. Ms. Villa possesses over 20 years of experience in urban redevelopment, merchandising streets and leasing. Since joining CBRE, Ms. Villa has worked with tenants including Goodyear, USPS and Gold’s Gym, where she coordinates market professionals nationally to expand the brand’s Express Gym concept.
Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Villa served as a real estate agent at Square Foot, LLC, which she founded in 1998, providing commercial leasing services to owners and tenants throughout New Jersey. Ms. Villa boasts a diverse resume, having worked in specialty market areas, as well as traditional shopping centers and urban streets. As such, she has worked with retailers including Restoration Hardware, Ann Taylor, Cosi, Brick City Bar & Grill, Pizza Hut, Rita’s Water Ice, Hollywood Tans, Quest Diagnostics, H&R Block and CVS. Ms Villa has represented owners including, but not limited to, Advance Realty Group, RPM Development, Moinian Group, Regan Development and Terranomics Development.
Additionally, Ms. Villa consulted in over 25 US cities on the subjects of revitalization, redevelopment, marketing and merchandising. She has held leadership posts in these fields, including having served as the Administrator for the Borough of Red Bank, the director of downtown alliances in Newark, Red Bank, Cranford and Bloomfield. She is credited with the revitalization of Red Bank noted as “Hip Town,” by NJ Monthly magazine.
Ms. Villa has been an active member of ICSC for nearly 20 years, currently serving as the Alliance Co-Chair in New Jersey. She has served as President of Downtown NJ and on the board of International Downtown Association.
