PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Richard Karson is an Executive Vice President of CBRE. Having represented both landlords and tenants, he has a thorough knowledge of both parties’ perspectives, which he brings in analyzing and negotiating transactions. Richard has a substantial record and expertise in coordinating the myriad of issues and disciplines involved in complex strategic real estate projects.
With over twenty five years experience in advising a broad spectrum of businesses, organizations and property owners, Richard has compiled a substantial track record in the successful implementation of complex strategic real estate projects and has been repeatedly cited for creativity in brokerage, including the Henry Hart Rice Award, the Real Estate Board of New York’s (REBNY) top award.
An industry visionary, Richard was the guiding force in bringing CBRE (formerly Insignia/ESG) to Long Island. In addition to his position as a senior broker at CBRE, he was responsible for expanding and enhancing the professional capabilities of the firm’s operations in the region and managing a significant portion of the major transactions in the region. Richard is also credited for bringing the concept of “added value services” to the marketplace.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Richard’s knowledge of both the Manhattan and Long Island office markets, as well as the rest of the boroughs, has given him an unrivaled reputation in the industry. By far, Richard’s most significant achievement was the Henry Hart Rice Award, the top award for creative deal-making and the New York real estate industry’s most coveted honor in 2004 for “The Making of the Rodale Building in New York City.” In addition to the REBNY award, he has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards in recent years including;
