    CBRE Arranges 25,400 SF, Six-Screen Movie Theater Lease in Port Washington, NY

    Long Island’s Vincent LaManna and Bruce Nelson recently represented ownership in finding a replacement tenant for the vacant, 25,400-sq.-ft. movie complex located within the Soundview Marketplace in Port Washington, New York. The multiplex will be named Soundview Cinemas and is slated to open April 26. “Soundview Cinemas not only replaces the run-down former theater with a brand-new, state-of-the-art movie theater, but it also provides a strong anchor tenant for the repositioned shopping center,” said Vincent. Situated in the heart of Port Washington at the intersection of Shore Road and Soundview Drive, Soundview Marketplace is a traditional community shopping center with on-site parking for more than 700 cars. CBRE oversees the leasing and management of the 185,000-sq.-ft. shopping center, which includes retailers King Kullen, Ace Hardware, West Marine, Rite Aid, GNC, GameStop and HSBC Bank.

    CBRE Arranges More Than 200,000 SF of Leasing Activity at 1111 Marcus Avenue on Long Island

    Long Island’s David Leviton and Paul Leone, in coordination with property owner AREA Property Partners, arranged more than 200,000 sq. ft. of leasing activity in 2012 at 1111 Marcus Avenue in Lake Success, New York. Among the most noteworthy transactions was a new 86,000-sq.-ft. lease for The Hain Celestial Group, a leading natural and organic food and personal care product company. Additionally, CBRE and AREA negotiated a 24,000-sq.-ft. lease with Display Technologies, an industry leader in providing point of purchase equipment for the food and beverage industry. “We’ve experienced tremendous leasing activity at the property throughout last year and we’re seeing this continue into 2013,” said David. “The complex’s great design, excellent location and wealth of amenities make 1111 Marcus one of the most sought-after business addresses in the region.” The largest single-story office building in Long Island at 1.4 million sq. ft., 1111 Marcus Avenue boasts excellent column spacing, light monitors to provide natural light and individualized controls for tenant HVAC systems. The complex also includes an outdoor seating area for employees, an on-site café and an LA Fitness center. The CBRE team is currently marketing approximately 234,000 sq. ft. of prime office space available for immediate occupancy.
