Professional Experience
Matt’s experience includes commercial real estate advisory services focused on transactions, strategic planning and outsourcing. He performs the role of portfolio advisor for corporate clients. He specializes in multi-market client services with a focus on the private equity sector including occupancy cost reduction strategies to improve operating performance and EBITDA, M&A due diligence, industry benchmarking and portfolio optimization. Matt has a depth of experience in large, complex transactions or restructurings including two recent projects of 115,000 RSF and 225,000 RSF that delivered over $40 million of savings to his clients.
Matt was previously a Managing Director with CBRE Global Corporate Services in Chicago, a transaction specialist with CBRE Brokerage in Boston and completed assignments in the New York Tri-State Region. Matt is also a member of CBRE’s National Healthcare Group.
Prior to CBRE, Matt was Treasurer and Board of Directors member of a private equity backed firm. In this role he analyzed and evaluated financial and operational issues for real estate transactions.
Matt’s experience at CBRE includes lease acquisitions, renewals, dispositions, consolidations and restructurings. He has also completed numerous building sales, sale leasebacks, land sales, and implemented operating and capital cost reduction strategies for corporations.
