Professional Experience

Mr. O’Neil directs CBRE Healthcare Services and brings 26 years of experience helping organizations solve complex problems, with over seven years of his business experience focused in the area of healthcare.

Before being named to his current national position in 2002, Mr. O’Neil directed real estate-related activities for the company’s flagship healthcare account, Baylor Health Care System.  For Baylor, Mr. O’Neil initially helped lead a team to “value engineer” a project that ultimately yielded $12 million in savings on a $62 million development.  Mr. O’Neil oversaw a wide range of other real estate services for Baylor, including facilities management for seven million square feet of clinical and non-clinical space, management of a $150 million development and construction portfolio, and the leasing of medical and professional office buildings.

Mr. O’Neil joined the Trammell Crow Company in 1987 and was exposed to a broad cross section of the company’s clients and services, including leasing and developing office and industrial projects in South Florida, directing the company’s 9 msf property management portfolio in Florida and, later, serving in leadership roles for national outsourcing accounts such as Bank One and Xerox.   Previously, Mr. O’Neil was director of human resources for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and worked in administration at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in Arizona.

Mr. O’Neil’s healthcare experience, his hands-on role in all facets of commercial real estate and his understanding of the company’s significant capabilities help healthcare organizations improve their level of quality care as they seek to improve their operating efficiencies.
