Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Networking Group

At CBRE, people are the key to our success. The only way we can continue to fulfill our corporate mission is to hire and retain the very best people.

Group of Diverse IndividualsAs a result, we believe in the power of diversity and see it as an opportunity to further define our competitive advantage. We have made a long-term strategic commitment to build diversity throughout our company, and we are dedicated to creating an environment that emphasizes fairness and recognizes each person’s unique value.

The CBRE Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Networking Group provides an open-minded support system for conducting business and addressing the personal requirements of our LGBT community. The network acts as an advocate for and advisor to our LGBT employees, while helping shape CBRE practices and programs to ensure a business community in which merit supersedes sexual orientation and gender.

“Diversity is all the unique characteristics that make up each one of us; personalities, lifestyles, thought processes, work experiences, ethnicity, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, cultural orientation, marital status, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, education, or other differences. Our commitment to a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace is a key element of our core values and corporate culture. This has led us to provide significant corporate support for CBRE’s employee networking groups, incorporate diversity into our succession planning strategies and enhance the diversity components of our talent acquisition programs. These initiatives are aimed at attracting more diverse candidates to CBRE and fostering a working environment where they see clear opportunities to fulfill their career aspirations.”

Membership in the LGBT Network is self-appointed, but membership is not required to access relevant groupGroup of Business People and company resources. Additionally, employee involvement in or contact with the group is treated with the appropriate openness or confidentiality, as exclusively determined by the employee.
CBRE understands that any credible claim to diversity must be underpinned with the appropriate programs and resources. CBRE’s benefit system supports our LBGT community’s requirements, including domestic partner benefits and adoption assistance and our LGBT leadership provides a critical advisory role for members and non-member concerns.
