Over time, Cobalt Capital Partners had built a light industrial portfolio that included more than 250 buildings, over 30 million square feet and more than 600 tenants in 16 metropolitan markets. Cobalt needed a real estate service provider with deep knowledge of both the asset class and the dynamics of each sub-market to communicate the unique value of its offering, as well as the platform to effectively market the portfolio to buyers worldwide.
CBRE’s Capital Markets professionals collaborated with the Industrial Leasing team and CBRE Econometric Advisors, which contributed critical market research and forecasts. The portfolio sold just three months after marketing efforts began for approximately $1.6 billion to Colony Financial of Santa Monica, California.
