CBRE to Partner with Rebuilding Together to Support the South Central Day Treatment School

Chicago, IL – April 30, 2012 CBRE will once again be partnering with national housing nonprofit Rebuilding Together, upgrading the South Central Day Treatment School during its annual Women’s Networking Forum through CBRE Cares, the company’s national corporate philanthropy program.

On Wednesday, May 2, 2012, more than 175 CBRE volunteers will partner with the local Rebuilding Together chapter to provide much-needed upgrades to the facilities. Members of the media are invited to attend the event beginning at 1:00 p.m., and the school is located at 7550 South Phillips.

The South Central Day Treatment School, located on Chicago’s south side, offers a Day Treatment High School Program for youth ages 15- to 21-years-old, that provides a full range of educational and therapeutic services to 70 teenagers and young adults.

The volunteer projects at the school will entail painting walls and doors, replacing drop ceiling tiles, repairing closet areas and installing shelving, landscaping and working with a local artist to paint murals for the hallways.

“We’re thrilled to be able to play a part in refurbishing such a vital component of our community in the South Central Day Treatment School,” said Chris Connelly, Executive Managing Director of CBRE’s Chicago region. “The community refurbishment projects we undertake encourage our people to use their professional and leadership skills to make a difference, and deliver meaningful contributions that provide real benefit to the individuals the communities serve.”
